The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a CVB Marketing Director who will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing tourism development activities with a particular focus on marketing, sales and services that attract visitors to Fremont and Dodge County. The CVB Marketing Director promotes dining, shopping, recreation, sports, leisure, lodging and attraction products to group tours, meeting planners, conventions and individual visitors throughout the travel industry market. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated to create something exciting from scratch rather than manage a mature program.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, enterprising, creative, and motivated to succeed. Under supervision of the Executive Director, the selected candidate will work closely with the hospitality industry and other community organizations to increase utilization of the market’s assets as well as further develop its overall potential. You will be naturally curious and able to think outside the box.
Preferred candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience in hospitality, convention & tourism, sales, chamber or related industry.
Compensation: mid-$30’s plus benefits including: medical insurance, 401k match, section 125 plan.
